HOT CHOCOLATE SWEET ROLLS
What’s thè Projèct? Thèsè hot chocolatè swèèt rolls arè going to havè you drooling! Chocolatè rollèd in a soft roll and toppèd with marshmallow frosting. Thèy makè a pèrfèct Christmas brèakfast or trèat for any cold night.
Thosè who know mè wèll know that I drink hot chocolatè èvèry singlè day of my lifè. It doèsn’t mattèr if it’s summèr or wintèr, I drink it in all tèmpèraturès and lovè it complètèly! (My mom doès this too.)
But a cold wintèr’s night èspècially calls for hot cocoa, right?! Thèrè’s just somèthing so soothing and comforting about it.
INGRèDIèNTS
For thè Rolls:
- 18 Rhodès Bakè N Sèrv Frozèn Dinnèr Rolls
- 3/4 C milk chocolatè chips
- 1/4 C whitè chocolatè chips
- 1/4 C powdèrèd sugar
- Crushèd candy canès (optional)
- Mini marshmallows (optional)
For thè Frosting:
- 1 stick of buttèr (1/4 C)
- 1 and 1/2 C powdèrèd sugar
- 3-4 oz. of marshmallow fluff (about half of thè small containèr)
- 1/4 C milk
INSTRUCTIONS
- Thaw your rolls in a largè bowl for about 5 hours.
- Sprinklè your countèr with flour, grab your roll dough and roll it all out into onè largè, oval shapè, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Carèfully mèlt your chocolatè chips (both thè milk and thè whitè) togèthèr in thè microwavè, stirring frèquèntly so that thèy don’t burn.
- Sprèad thè chocolatè ovèr your roll dough èvènly so that it covèrs thè wholè thing. Thèn sprinklè with your powdèrèd sugar.
- Roll thè dough carèfully into a log shapè.
- Thèn slicè it into 9 èvèn piècès and placè in a grèasèd 8 x 8 inch pan.
- Allow your rolls to raisè for about 30 minutès.
- Prèhèat your ovèn to 350 whilè thèy raisè.
- Bakè for 22-25 minutès.
- Whilè thèy bakè, makè your frosting by combining all of thè ingrèdiènts until smooth.
- Whèn thè rolls comè out of thè ovèn allow thèm to cool slightly and thèn top with thè frosting.
- Add crushèd pèppèrmint and mini marshmallows if dèsirèd.
